Floyd Mayweather Vs. Conor McGregor

After the historical UFC 205 Conor McGregor is an athlete we have not seen before in the combat sports arena.  After 205, Conor holds two titles in two weight classes: Lightweight and Welterweight.  Following his win, everyone had an idea that Conor’s  stand up fighting game looks to be world class even when compared to the legendary sport of boxing.  In recent years, even with the UFC gaining popularity, it has never paid its fighters anything close to what pay-per-view boxing matches will pay.  Talk started after Conor’s last match of making a crossover to see Conor fight in a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, the five division world champion.  Mayweather has said he would love to make the fight happen and has already offered Conor $50 million to take the match.  Unfortunately, that is not enough for Conor to take the fight because he knows historically what a Mayweather fight generates: he wants $100 million to take the fight.  On top of reaching an agreement Conor will also have to answer for a slightly different style of awarding points and closing his combat skills to just boxing.

Many have said that Conor would not be able to compete in the boxing realm because it has been labeled an entirely different sport than MMA.  If one studies the amount of hours just spent on boxing and sparring by any of the athletes in the UFC, they will find that MMA honors boxing as a must-have, mastered base-skill in offensive and defensive techniques. So, could Conor actually compete against the reigning world champion of boxing? Yes, absolutely, but Louis will give him a run for his money with one of the most immaculate point fighting styles in the history of boxing.  As of the most recent update the fight is going to happen this coming June in Las Vegas.Conor McGregor

This crossover fight will be historical and enjoyable.  To honor this match we wanted to pay homage to these fighters’ choices of luxury timepieces.  Both fighters have made an excellent living from previous matches and they love to spend money, so it is no surprise they both carry the some of the finest watches the industry has to offer.

Floyd Mayweather also has a pallet for Offshore Chronographs. His piece is especially timeless because for a while AP  stopped making yellow gold watches. This year, they brought back the Royal Oak in yellow gold in extremely limited availability. Below is  Mayweather’s beautiful Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph yellow gold with a custom Ladies Royal Oak on his daughters wrist.
