Parmigiani Fleurier Debuts 2024 Novelties at Watches and Wonders
Geneva has become the focal point for watch aficionados, esteemed collectors, and renowned ateliers worldwide, drawn together annually for Watches and Wonders — a standout among the year’s most significant horological gatherings. This vibrant symposium acts as a stage for the luminaries of the watchmaking world, where numerous brands seize the moment to unveil a first glimpse of their forthcoming collections. Among them, distinguished Swiss watchmakers Parmigiani Fleurier have taken the opportunity to debut their 2024 Novelties, including the latest Toric Collection and a few striking additions to the Tonda PF Collection.
Toric Chronograph Rattrapante Rose Gold
Parmigiani Fleurier elegantly bridges the gap between intricate mechanical complexity and the sleekness of design with the new limited edition Toric Chronograph Rattrapante Rose Gold. This timepiece outshines even a tourbillon in complexity, with its movement ingeniously integrated to enhance both aesthetics and functionality.
The achievement is encased in unparalleled elegance, boasting proportions that epitomize harmony and grace. Every curve and line of this watch has been meticulously refined, resulting in a design that is both minimalistic and profoundly beautiful, with discreet pushbuttons seamlessly blending into the case. From every angle, the watch radiates a sophisticated poise, with the 18k rose gold case and Nubuck leather strap merging into one seamless expression of luxury. A limited edition of only 30 pieces.
Toric Petite Seconde in Platinum or Rose Gold
The rebirth of an icon, the Toric Petite Seconde, marries time-honored horological craftsmanship with a visionary, modern reinterpretation. This masterpiece dramatically transforms the classic dress watch paradigm through its innovative use of color and materials: a new manual winding movement in gold, encased in platinum (above) or 18k rose gold (shown below), complemented by a gold “chevé” dial, indices, and hands, and finished with a gold crown and pin buckle. This design not only celebrates the movement’s intricate beauty but also sets a new standard for elegance and contemporary style in luxury watchmaking.
The design of the PF780 movement features three expansive bridges crafted from 18ct rose gold, set in a pristine geometric layout that captivates the eye. Visible through this elegant framework are only the dual barrels and the timepiece’s heart—the regulating organ.
This innovative structural design, adorned with Côtes de Fleurier on the bridges juxtaposed against a sandblasted main-plate, pays homage to the venerable art of watchmaking while presenting it through a lens of minimalist modernity. This watch embodies a groundbreaking approach to horological architecture, seamlessly blending tradition with a sleek, contemporary aesthetic.
Tonda PF Micro-Rotor No Date
Since its debut in 2021, the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor has been pivotal in the renaissance of Parmigiani Fleurier, embodying sophistication with its proprietary movement that elegantly displays hours, minutes, and date. The collection now welcomes an evolved variant: the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor No Date.
This latest model, while maintaining the functionality of displaying hours and minutes, eschews the date feature for a cleaner, more streamlined aesthetic. This design choice underscores Parmigiani Fleurier’s dedication to simplicity and elegance, principles that guide the brand’s philosophy.
Tonda PF Skeleton Platinum Milano Blue
Following the launch of the steel and rose gold models, Parmigiani Fleurier proudly presents the Tonda PF Skeleton Platinum. This exquisite new model showcases the intricate beauty of its skeletonized movement, accentuated by satin-finished open bridges. Set against a Milano Blue dial, the platinum hue of the watch exudes a striking, refined elegance that is both bold and uniquely sophisticated. This version stands out for its compelling contrast and the distinct charm it brings to the Tonda PF collection.
Featuring a platinum oscillating weight adorned with the brand’s emblem set within sapphire crystal, this design achieves peak performance with elegance. The intricate workings, including 187 distinct components, are elegantly displayed through a clear sapphire crystal case back, blending seamlessly into the watch’s architecture.
