The Time-Eater Returns: Louis Erard Unveils Latest Collaboration with Konstantin Chaykin
Louis Erard isn’t afraid of the weird, and this time they’ve gone even deeper into the dark. In their latest collaboration with master horological surrealist Konstantin Chaykin, the Swiss brand revisits a limited-edition Slavic inspired creature known only as The Time-Eater.
Referencing Likho, a one-eyed trickster from Slavic folklore, the latest edition of this classic regulator watch is once again unsettling, eccentric, and completely captivating. A blue hour ring surrounds the dial, where a single “eye” keeps watch from 12 o’clock. At 6 o’clock, the monster’s jagged grin doubles as a rotating seconds disc—sharp teeth and all.
The minute hand stretches like a twisted limb, paired with a ghostly hour disc and a matte-black, star-shaped seconds counter. It’s part creature, part timekeeper, and like nothing else on the market. The polished stainless steel case holds this eerie spectacle together.
For a finishing touch, Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin III Blue Time-Eater is paired with a black toad leather strap and complementing blue stitching. On the reverse deep blue rabbit leather offers superior comfort on the wrist.
This is far from Louis Erard’s first brush with the unconventional. Collaborations with Alain Silberstein, Vianney Halter, Kudoke, Massena LAB, Cédric Johner, GoS, and the Horophile have all broken boundaries. But Chaykin’s vision takes things further, blending horror, fantasy, and high Swiss watchmaking into a surrealist statement piece.
