What’s in the Audemars Piguet Archives?

Sebastian Vivas shows off one of the books that Audemars Piguet writes their clients in.

On a recent trip to Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus, Switzerland, we had the opportunity to spend some time with Sebastian Vivas who is responsible for maintaining the Audemars Piguet archives.

Since 1880, every watch that Audemars Piguet has produced has been entered by hand into the Audemars Piguet archives. These archives are stored in a fire and water resistant safe to protect them. Today, most everything is electronic yet Audemars Piguet still enters each piece manually to ensure that it is preserved for all time.

Traditional methods cannot be beat!
